The anchor is the Palmview Emergency Department, a department of Mission Regional Medical Center, under construction at 100 Main Street. The $10.5 million, 13,756-square-foot facility will operate 24 hours a day with an ambulance bay, exam rooms, in-house laboratory and X-ray, and a patient lobby, staffed by emergency medicine providers from Mission Regional Medical Center. It is scheduled to open in summer 2027 and brings the first emergency care to western Hidalgo County.
